Karviná Handball Cup 2006

13^th Karviná Handball Cup 23-26 August 2006

13^th issue of the youth tournament Karviná Handball Cup was organized from 24 to 26 August in six cities of North Moravian region. The tournament matches were played in 8 indoor halls and on 4 outdoor playing fields in the cities Karviná, Havířov, Orlová, Třinec, Český Těšín, and Horní Suchá. The group matches were played on Thursday and Friday, the final matches were scheduled on Saturday. 143 youth teams from seven European countries (Bosna Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia, and Czech Republic) participated this year. More than 2 000 young handball players played in four girl’s and in five boy’s categories 494 matches and scored 10 922 goals. 60 referees whistled the tournament matches.
